In this video I demonstrate a very simple technique to loop backspin balls.
I take a look at both the forehand loop and the backhand loop. I also give some tips on how to develop your loops to get more speed and spin.
This video is aimed mostly at beginner / intermediate players who struggle to loop backspin balls.
At the end of the video, you will see some footage of David, aged 75. In our coaching sessions I showed David how to loop backspin with my simple technique and he was soon looping consistently on both his forehand and backhand.
In fact, I think his backhand loop technique is now better than mine!

As a defender, this is the video that I have been dreading! My best stroke is heavy backspin against an opponent who enjoys doing forehand and backhand topspin. It’s how I win the majority of my points. Oh well, it’s back to the drawing board for me. Either that, or learn how to do both forehand and backhand topspin, as well as forehand and backhand topspin against backspin.
ANOTHER EXCELLENT,VERY HELPFUL VIDEO FROM AN ENTHUSIASTIC VERY CAPABLE COACH.
