In this video I share a very effective service tactic which I use often in my matches.
I use two different spins – sidespin with backspin and sidespin with topspin. And I use two different lengths – half-long and long. I serve into the middle of the table, forcing my opponent to play awkward forehand strokes.
These combination of serves are surprisingly effective, winning many cheap points and getting many weak returns.
The footage from the video is taken from a club tournament earlier in the year, which I managed to win. My opponent’s ranged from local league to British league and the service tactic worked against all opponents.
In the video I am using JOOLA Dynaryz AGR on both my forehand and backhand. You can buy this rubber from Bribar Table Tennis.
