Too scared to attack? Why you must punish the weak push

Subscribe  Online coaching

In local league table tennis it is very common to get a weak push. This is a push which is a little high and doesn’t have much backspin. Too often players are scared to attack and instead will push back. This is a huge missed opportunity.

A weak push is quite an easy ball to attack. As there isn’t much backspin, you don’t need to lift the ball that much. You can play much more direct. If you attack positively you can either win the point with one shot or be in complete control of the rally.

In this video I give some tips on how to attack the weak push and you’ll also hear the thoughts of coach Ferenc.
